Greeting Second Baptist Family,
Weekly Pastor’s Notes

Sunday begins Black History Month
For the Entire month please wear your
traditional, cultural attire as we
Celebrate what God has Done
for us, what He is Doing in us, and how
He Continues to Work Through us a people
while others are attempting to erase
and rewrite Our History.

Thought for the week: A Time to Unite
Galatians 3:28-39 “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
Of all people in the earth, Christians should remove racial discrimination from their thoughts, yet some Christians struggle to embrace this truth: God doesn’t discriminate based on the color of a person’s skin. Yet believers often divide themselves from each other based on how much money they make, where they live, or even their ethnic heritage.
Jesus’ sacrifice was for ALL mankind. He said He brought salvation to the Jew and the Gentile. That’s everyone. He even loved the Samaritans, an ethnic and religious group that the Jews called “half-breeds” and went out of their way to avoid. As in everything, Jesus is your example of how to live and love (Everyone) emphasis added.
If there was ever a time for Christians to demonstrate the Love of Christ in the earth and unite, the time is NOW.
