Weekly Pastor’s Notes
The greatest commands Jesus gave were to love God and then to love everyone else. The greatest source of teaching about love comes from 1 Corinthians 13. Forgiveness is an essential part of love because love keeps no record of wrongs, is not easily angered, and is not self-seeking (1 Corinthian 13:5)
Forgiveness is a personal choice that doesn’t excuse sin, but it can remove the burden you carry and help to heal old wounds instead of letting them fester. Forgiveness is the only chance you will ever get to restore broken relationships. So, when the choice to forgive presents itself as an option, take it.

Keep in prayer all of those in the hospital, nursing homes or in their homes during recovery.
Please pray for two former co-workers of Pastor, 1. T.J Zakowski in hospital with serious injury. Also pray for Bro. Richard Moore who is in the hospital. Continue to pray for Mrs. Stayce Hutton as well as Ms. Jessica Conde who is dealing with a medical issue. We continue to thank God for each of you and for your prayers, calls, texts and well wishes during my recovery period.

Word – Children, youth, and adults alike.
The Missionaries continue to collect toiletries, slightly used and clean coats and clothing to aid victims of recent disasters. Items can be left in the box or on the table in the lower fellowship hall of the church.
115TH ANNIVERSARY NOTES
There will be a Super Mass Choir singing in the morning of June7th. Any and all persons who have sung on any choir in the church, in the past or present, from the youngest to the oldest, male or female are asked to please participate in this choir. Rehearsal dates will be forthcoming.
For a fundraiser for our 115th Church Anniversary, there are two options which you may contribute to which are optional:
- Long-term families of 2nd Baptist going back to the Pastorate of Rev. King David Tunstall can contribute as a family (not household) $115 based on how many households are represented in that family. OR
- Anniversary envelopes will be handed out to anyone who wants to contribute to the 115tth Church Anniversary in any amount of your choosing.
History of the Church:
A slide presentation will be shown. If anyone has any old photographs of the church or members, please see any member of the Anniversary Committee so that they may be uploaded for the presentation.
