A Word from the Pastor

Proverbs 27:17 - “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” NIV (THE TEAM)

Everything in life has a purpose, and every purpose needs a team. As we recognize our Servant Missionary Ministry this week, we celebrate the work of a team for the upbuilding of God’s Kingdom. The team Jesus had in the last three years of His life were called disciples. This twelve-man team worked together, ate together and learned together. They would become the core of the first century church.

They leave a model and example for us today in 2026 to emulate, that if we continue to work TOGETHER as a team, great things will be accomplished for God’s Glory. Everyone needs to know that you are invited to be a part of The Team here at 2nd Baptist Pedricktown to be sharpened and help sharpen others. (Adapted - 3 Min. Devotions, Barbour Publishing)
