A Word from the Pastor

(The Big Difference) Isaiah 55:8 (NKJV) – “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.”

The biggest difference between God and man is that God is perfect, and man, you and I are not. Man let’s people down, God can be trusted. Men ruin things, God makes things brand new. Men tell lies, God can not lie and ONLY speaks the TRUTH. Man wants everything to go according to their way; God knows the best way for man’s life.

These differences point to a God who’s incredibly wise, but He is often thought of as foolish. For instance, God’s Word says you lead by serving, find blessing by giving and discover real life by losing what you thought was important. Paul even states that the cross is “foolishness” to those who don’t believe, but it is “the Power of God” to those who are being saved (1 Corinthians 1:18).

The Big Difference is God is God and He is God Alone. And we thank God that He has accepted us as His own. (Adapted from 3 Min. Devotions Barbour Publishing)
