Weekly Pastor’s Notes
Thought for the week:
When you fail, you often simply try harder. You remind yourself that you know right from wrong, so all you need to do is police yourself and redouble your efforts. After all, God gave you His laws, so shouldn’t it be easy to obey them? But like most people you become a master at riding the edge of sin and hoping you don’t fall off the edge. All self-discipline, all the good intentions have never been 100 percent successful in keeping you away from sin, because they’re simply not enough.
God sent a Helper called the Holy Spirit to be both a companion and a guide. However, many people often ignore His influence and advice. God wants to help you avoid sin, but you need to be willing to accept His help. Ask God to open your heart to the Spirit’s leading and ask the Spirit Himself, what He would have you to do and what He would show you today.

13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

Sunday School is for all ages. Join us each Sunday at 9:30 AM as we grow together in God’s Word—children, youth, and adults alike.
The Missionaries continue to collect toiletries, slightly used and clean coats and clothing to aid victims of recent disasters. Items can be left in the box or on the table in the lower fellowship hall of the church.
