Thought for the week:
Keep His Commandments
Do you wonder at times if your faith is genuine and if you truly know God? Many ask themselves this question and the Bible even advises believers to “examine yourselves as to whether you are I the faith. Test yourselves” (2 Corinthians 13:5 NKJV). How do you test yourself? John the Apostle provided the simple test when he wrote, “By this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments” (1 John 2:3 NKJV)
According to Matthew 22:36-39, the two greatest commands are to love God with all your heart and to love others as you love yourself. John also said, “this is His commandment: that we should believe on the Name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another” (1 John 3:23 NKJV). It is absolutely foundational to love God and His Son Jesus Christ and to genuinely love your neighbor. If you have this foundation in place, you can be assured that your faith is genuine, and you’ll also be certain to grow as a Christian. (Adapted from: 3 Minute Devotions – Barbour Books)

Verse 5: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding”.
Verse 6: “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”.

Sunday School is for all ages. Join us each Sunday at 9:30 AM as we grow together in God’s Word—children, youth, and adults alike.
The Missionaries continue to collect toiletries, slightly used and clean coats and clothing to aid victims of recent disasters. Items can be left in the box or on the table in the lower fellowship hall of the church.
