A Word from the Pastor

(Meditate on God) Psalm 46:10 “Be Still, and know that I am God.”

There is a time to earnestly pray for what you need, but there is also a time to sit back, focus and meditate only on God. At times like that, keep your mind from wandering and keep your attention only on Him, not allowing yourself to be distracted by the things of this world. God will reward you with a deeper knowledge of His nature and love for you.

God commanded, “Be still, and know that I am God”. At this time, you are to still your heart and concentrate totally on Him. His Sovereignty, His Glory, His Holiness and His Power. You should meditate on all the things that God has done in your life and in the lives of others. When you read your bible, pause at a verse and take some time to meditate deeply on what the scripture is speaking into your life. Try meditating on God today and see Him in all His Splendor in your life. (Adapted - 3 Min. Devotions, Barbour Publishing)
