Evangelist Carol Dowe first and foremost is a Born Again Christian and Loves the Lord. Evangelist Carol has been happily married to Theodore (Teedle) Dowe for 41 years and they have been blessed with two wonderful children, Theotis Dowe (Tiffany) and Kyera Dowe-Chandler (Hakim) and their four grandchildren who are the apple of their eyes; Damious Dowe, Nilah Chandler, Daelynn Dowe and Autumn Chandler.
Evangelist Dowe received her early education in the Carney’s Point/Penns Grove School District. After graduation Evangelist Dowe enlisted in the United States Army travelling extensively in many European countries and living in Germany for two and a half years. While stationed in Germany she studied Child Psychology and attended class to learn to speak German. After completing her tour of duty and receiving an Honorable Discharge from the military Evangelist Dowe was employed during the day at Towers Perrin and attended night school to become a Medical Assistant graduating third in her class. Evangelist Dowe worked for Towers until being medically unable in 1992.
Evangelist Dowe first accepted Christ on a Tuesday in November 1962 and was baptized in November 1979 at Hopewell Baptist Church under the Pastorate of Rev. Rufus Johnson. In May 1981 she became a member of the Second Baptist Church of Pedricktown under the Pastorate of Rev. Dr. Edward W. Dorn, rededicating herself in May of 1984 and stepping out on Faith in May of 2003 accepting her calling as an Evangelist in the work of the gospel ministry being licensed and approved by Rev. Dorn and the Second Baptist Church family.
Evangelist Dowe’s life motto is, “If I can help somebody as I travel along life’s journey, then my living shall not be in vain and her favorite scripture is Psalm 27:1-14, “Wait on the Lord, Be of Good Courage, and He Shall Strengthen thine heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord.”
