Thought for the week:
Peace is Yours Today – How would you describe your mental state right now? Do you feel close to God or distant from Him? There may be times when you wonder if you’ll ever be “good enough.” But God has reconciled everything to Himself. God is not distant from you. Jesus has come to dwell in you, and through the cross He demonstrated once and for all that He’s fully committed to making peace with you.
Any barriers between you and God have been removed (Hallelujah). There is no way to make yourself worthier of the cross. Reconciliation Has Been Accomplished.

Please pray for Servant Leader Johnnie Miller and family in the passing of his father John Miller. Homegoing service for Mr. Miller will be on Friday Aug. 29th at Union Baptist Church in Trenton, NJ, viewing 10am to 11am and service at 11:00am.
Also pray for the family of Sis. Jean Lee who went from Labor to reward last week. Sis. Jean homegoing will be on Friday Sept. 5th here at the Second Baptist Church, viewing 9a – 11a and service at 11:00am
Additionally, pray for the Gaston Family of Penns Grove in the passing of Chris Gaston on Monday and also Sis. Cleo’s daughter Shawn and her family in the passing of her husband’s John mother, Mrs. Mae Outlaw in Georgia.

Don’t forget! The Conversation for our young people (ages 13–19) will take place throughout the month of August.
Please note: Sunday School will not be held during August for children or adult classes. This pause allows our faithful teachers a time of rest and restoration.
Sunday School will resume for all ages on Sunday, September 7th.
The Missionaries continue to collect toiletries, slightly used and clean coats and clothing to aid victims of recent disasters. Items can be left in the box or on the table in the lower fellowship hall of the church.
