Weekly Pastor’s Notes
Thought for the week: Caring For Others
There’s a time to earnestly pray for what you need. But there is also a time to meditate, to think deeply on who God is. At times like that, focus entirely on Him and keep your mind from wandering. God will reward you with a deper knowledge of His nature and love. God commanded, “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10 – KJV)You are to still your heart and focus on knowing Him, that He is Almighty God, Supreme, Holy, Beautiful and Glorious.
You should also meditate on the wonderful things God has done in your life and the lives of others. Think of His miracles, both great and small. When you read the Bible, pause at a verse and meditate deeply on its meaning. “Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day” (Psalm 119:97 NKJV). Meditate on God and the things of God today.

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

The Missionaries continue to collect toiletries, slightly used and clean coats and clothing to aid victims of recent disasters. Items can be left in the box or on the table in the lower fellowship hall of the church.
